This short book is a guide for everyone who wants to know more about holidays and customs in Poland. I have written about church holidays, but also about Valentine’s Day and holidays commemorating important events in the history of Poland.
I have chosen twelve most popular holidays in my country. The most important of them are Christmas and Easter. They are celebrated by whole family and they have a lot of unique traditions, like sharing the wafer on Christmas Eve or śmigus-dyngus (splashing others with water) on Easter Monday. We also have a lot of traditional dishes – pierogi (a kind of dumplings) and borsch.
Holiday in Poland is a great thing to see, so read my book to learn a little about our traditions.
